Is this worth it?

I can pick up an older(don't know the year) Fender 4x12 slant cabinet with 8ohm Eminence speakers. Is $100.00 too much to pay for this?Thnx

I would buy it in a heartbeat, mainly because Fender branded Eminences are some of my favorite speakers of all time. The older, the better. If you do buy it and plan on taking the speakers out I will gladly buy one off of you, if you can spare it.

I just bought it for $80.00.It's carpeted(guy says original),has wheels, heavy duty handles, even has the bigass Fender plate on the grille and it sounds so fucking awesome. Especially compared to the 8 or 10" speaker in my G-DEC 30. Model HM4-12A Ser# 000567. As far as I can tell it looks all original.

Right on! By local (Canadian) standards, you straight robbed that guy. Those speakers are fucking gems. I'm not aware of any Fender enclosure that has come with carpet instead of tolex, other than SS Bassmen combos from the 90's but who cares about that if it sounds good, right?

I have a Fender M-80 head that would match that perfectly...
the carpet is sorta gross though.

The carpet was torn up on one side by a cat. There is no tolex under the carpet. Just black paint. For now I'm just running the GDEC through it.

Those look like the black back Eminences I was referring to. You might want to experiment with rear loading them, as I've found I was able to get better bass response out of them that way. the plywood looks like quality, too. Is it very heavy?

Rear loading? Mount from inside the cabinet? It's heavy, that's a 3/4" plywood cabinet. I can't see how to take the front or back off the cabinet.
