Jarvis Cocker's Guitar

Post by Gavin »

What kind of guitar is this? It looks like some kind of Mini-Mosrite. I know it's his 'cause I've seen him playing it before.

How much do you love Jcyphe?

It's a guitar that was labeled MarineRider. There was a while back in Japan that they had all these little guitars with built in amps that were selling on all the websites and I assume guitar shops in Japan. They had another "Mosrite" branded one that was different than that one, and even a little Jazzmaster type thing but out by Fender Japan.

I remember seeing them for sale in that blue color not to long ago on various Japanese websites, so they're still floating around. I had that picture saved as Kurosawa Marine Rider if that helps. I don't remember anymore info on these or what country they were actually made in.

Glad to see a modern guitar being produced with a zero fret as well.

Cool little thang.

In other news, I didn't know Jonathan Ross and lanky Jarvis were the same height.

Looks like your standard mosrite style pickup.

Oh man when I met Jarvis some months ago on a summer festival he was so damn stoned.
Cool guitar nonetheless.

I picked one of these up in Tokyo a few years ago. They have slim necks and built-in overdrive and offer lots of feedback fun.

I see that Jarvis is rockin' the Grolsch strap locks on his guitar too.

Talking to me? I guess you're right, zombies don't wait 3 years to rise from the dead. Your necromancy quip in another recently resurrected thread is much more appropriate.
