I like it when I actually use it. Lots of Wah aficionados don't like the feel of it, but I have never used any other wah so it works for me. Definitely demo before you buy. It was noisy at first (even when turned off), but I turned the drive completely off and no noise at all. I don't save settings, but I like the variety of sounds it makes. I tend to use the Cry Baby, Morley or Vox settings. Not a heavy wah user, but I like it. I actually have been playing more with the auto Wah on my EHX Worm at the moment.

I love the auto wah on the Worm. You can get some very cool sounds with volume swells and the rate turned down. I have the old big boxed Worm, which I find kicks out a lot of noise on the trem and vibrato settings. How do you find the new version???

but seriously, a multi-effects pedal seems logical to buy, it saves money, and has everything you need.

I used a Zoom one for ages (which I still own) and it did the job, but because it does so many different things it doesn't really do any of them particularly well. So now if I only had one pedal it would have to be one which does an effect well, rather than lots of effects badly.

you know that on Fender/Marshall/Vox style tone controls it is impossible to boost the mids. It looks like you'd be able to but in actuality the level of the mids is never above the bass or treble freqs no matter what you set the controls to.

what is going on in that picture? it's really dark. I can see some bass/mid/treble controls. what I'm saying is, for the most part the controls behave as you would think but if you look at the actual EQ curve you are creating by adjusting those controls, it is impossible to set the level of the mids above both the treble and the bass frequencies. you can take the bass down and leave the mid and treble up, or you can take the treble down down and leave the the bass and mids up, just like you can also take the mids down but if you try to take both the bass and treble down and leave the mids up it flattens everything out except for a little boost in the treble frequencies.

Also on a lot of marshall style amps I notice the amount of mids (and particularly the upper-mids) seem to increase as the master volume goes up.
