I have two black ones, and the only way I would get rid of one of them is for a white one in a trade. Stock pick-ups were thin and crappy, much much better with dimarzio's. The necks are real sweet... I mostly play on the bridge pickup on everything else but on the supersonic I put it on the middle setting...

So, the deal was I found one by carefully searching GC's online used stock. Oddly, you can't just search for "sonic" or "squier" or "supersonic" or "super-sonic", nothing came up.

So, I searched for "Squier", set it to guitars, then on each page I did a Find for "Sonic" with my browser, and if nothing matched I'd go to the next page. Bout 8 pages in I found ONE, in North Carolina, black. I called the store, they wanted $400 for it, asked if I could give them $100 over the phone to layaway it. Called again today and spoke to the manager, basically they said I could go to my local GC, and set up the layaway there for the item with them. So that's what I did, at first I was put off by the local store manager as it seemed like he was being patronizing, even going so far as to make a comment that my tshirt was "killer" which I was like uhhh okay this guy is fucking with me, no way has he heard of this old local punk band my friends were in, but then he actually told me about how he missed their final show and etc etc and I realized he did actually know who it was, so the guy gained some points back at that point.

End result, is in about a month when I have the spare $300 this guitar is MINE.

THANKS TEAM WILL POST PICS WHEN I HAS.

I just looked it up on GC.com. Very nice score. GC used section has a lot of nice deals. I had just sold my PRS and was looking there for a used CP Jaguar when I found AVRI Jaguar that had incorrectly priced at $700. Needless to say I bought it. There are definitely good used deals to be found on GC.com. Congrats.

Yeah mine isn't going to be exactly like that. We'll see when I get it.

Don't care if anyone else here has done whatever. I care about me having a fucking awesome guitar.

What guitar center in NC is it at? I've never seen a super-sonic around these parts!

I'd rather get the Omar comparison rather than Kurtsds comparisons, because I look nothing like Omar. I can deal with that.

Billy, it's the one in Durham.

Also, wtf is with the lower right pickguard horn? Looks wavy and shit.

I'm likely going to just cover the hole under where the existing control plate is and move the plate over, then worry about a new pickguard later. I'll be needing a new bridge humbucker at least, but I'll be keeping the neck one for a while until I decide if I want to go with just one pup or not.

Leave the right handed bridge for a cool Hendrix style bridge.

Yeah I won't be fucking with the bridge at all except tightening the springs to keep it from moving.

Dots, yeah dude that's been the plan. I've been wanting to do a single bridge HB guitar for a while now, the idea was to still have the pu switch for series/parallel switching. I've been wanting to do this for a while now, in fact that was my plan if I ever got to build a lefty Bronco also. If I dump the neck pup I'll be doing this at least on the SS.

Yeah, I know it was a total luck find. That's why I wasted no time in dropping CASH on it immediately.
