New pedal idea (all the best pedal ideas are stolen). The doll's head has a photocell in one eye, and a red LED in the other. The head faces a small mirror, which can reflect the light from the LED into the LDR. This LED/LDR network controls fuzz or frequency or oscillation or some shit. The doll's head is mounted on a geared dc motor, and spins round and round until the dead awake.

+1. These are already made by a number of other people, to boot.

Yeah it's just another photocell expression pedal (didn't Devi Ever do the same thing called 'peep' or something?) but it's in a doll's head. THAT is innovation.

It'd be cool if someone made a sonic playset, of a couple of dolls, where each limb controlled something.

Lord knows! Almost all boutiquey pedal stuff is recycling and hackery (and I'm not excluding myself from this category for a second). Read the funniest quote about Death By Audio the other day "the only thing this has in common with electronics is the use of electronic components". Fuckin burn!
