Artec Analog Delay

Post by Viljami »

I ordered this Image

Any experiences? I didn't even bother looking into it before ordering, since it was only 48 euros. Even if it sucks, I should be able to sell it without too much of an hassle. And I value your opinions quite highly.

For the money I hear they are decent enough. Made in China I believe, but that's not a bad thing. Most stuff seems to be these days. I have been thinking about getting an Artec tuner. Post a review of it when it turns up. Love to know what the build quality is like.

I think I had one a while ago. It was alright, if I remember it might actually be a digital "analogue" delay but it would get quite dirty sounding. Mix knob doesn't go up to full wet as well I think.

Will do. Not 100% sure but could be also made in Korea.

i can't speak for the delay, but a friend of mine bought an artec overdrive for £25 or so and it actually sounded pretty decent. quite marshall-y. not as nice as an OCD but along similar lines.

Didn't Hurb buy the tuner only to discover it was terrible? Not sure why anyone would buy one of these in a world where the Behringer Vintage Delay exists.

Because it is actually quite a nice delay that sounds different from others out there.

Tim's point is that the Behringer is actually Analogue.

Surely you buy a pedal because it sounds good no?

Surely you shouldn't market a pedal as something it's not?

That's a shame, I was kind of taken by that big LED display. Hmmmm, Pitch Black it will be.
