The Jag looks great. Black is one of my fave colours on them.

Received mah new Batjag from Lallalateral the other day and it is GR8!
I only had enormous baritione strigns on hand yesterday, so I gave it a shot. fail. 24" is too few.
Anyway, I put a set of 12s on it today, got it about 80% set up. Neck pickup is SD antiquity? Correct? It's really nice and bassy, and actually more articulate and bright than the bridge pickup.

The headstock, which looks like it only says "Fender" also says "jaguar" but its in black, so you have to look reeeeeal close, and that is tits McGee.
Don't ask how long Im going to keep it. Because I'll just say "forever" and then get a bug up my ass and flip it.
Actually, I have a few little mods in mind, a toggle on the lower switches and a buzzstop. I may also switch necks with my jag-stang, because the jag's neck is just a hair thin for my tastes.
wait the baritone strings...
did the low e pop and unwind when you tried tuning it?

No, that's a low B, sir.
Baritoning doesn't put extra stress on your neck, or your strings. The strings are tuned to a lower pitch, but are a thicker gauge. In theory you should be at the same tension as an e-e set.

I played it for a decent amount of time today, unplugged of course  and there is noticeable difference between the jag's and Jag-Stang's neck. Teh jag is thinner. It may be the same cut of wood, with the "feelable" difference being the ultrathick finish on the JS, but I doubt it.
