What should I do with my Jaguar rhythm circuit?

What should I do with my Jaguar rhythm circuit?
So, I categorically never use the rhythm circuit on my Jag, and I've always thought that it was a bit of a waste of space/opportunity to put something I would find useful there.
Have considered a built in effect of some sort, maybe a fernandez sustainer.
Anyway, what would you do if you were to replace the rhythm circuit with something else?

Pretty sure you have to carry out all sorts of fuckery under the scratchplate to fit a sustainer. I'd bung in either a fuzz or a boost; one of my favourite things about my Dano's has always been that you get quite a boost in the middle pickup position. You know, for those days when you don't want to move your foot...
I vote Rangemaster.

Ah ok! Shows how much research I did into this.BacchusPaul wrote:As far as I know it involves installing their neck humbucker.benecol wrote:Pretty sure you have to carry out all sorts of fuckery under the scratchplate to fit a sustainer.
I was thinking maybe fuzz, as I don't have one on my board at the moment (or in general)...

theremin plate that controls a crazy moog synth sequencer that is also in your guitar, also you will need a FM radio tuner, a remote control for a microwave oven, an aquarium, laser light projector, flame thrower, Kaoss pad used as a midi controller to control how high your drummer's drum riser is, thrown an analog delay and a barrack obama sound board in there and you are good to go.
Get to work on that.

A theremin would be FREAKING AWESOME, though.
wire up the truss rod in your neck to act as the pitch control and the plate itself as the volume.

Theres aplenty of MicroFX out there, i've considered this many times. What would be more usefull Thom? Onboard boost, comp, fuzz, tem, delay..?
Personally, considering restrictions based on design size, i would avoid stuff too complicated. I would go for something more practical like an onboard clean boost switch.

Absolutely Fran, am thinking simple. Boost is the most obvious choice, but I have 2 boosts on my board, so think that that would be a bit of a waste.Fran wrote:Theres aplenty of MicroFX out there, i've considered this many times. Things currently missing from my board that I may use most are trem and fuzz.

Some modestly priced boosts and distortions HERE.
Judging by Owens guitar onboard tremolo could sond good. Not sure what circuit was used there though.
Hmm... Tremololz!
