you know the lil counter sunk metal bits that you can use for bolt on applications rather than a neck plate?
im not sure what the hell they are called, nor where to get them.
anyone got any leads?

YES! so are they called neck screw ferrells? or what cuz i searched the hell out of a few u.s. sites and couldn't find shit!

it appears that gpr doesn't carry them, which sucks becuz i have a big order made up thru them at the moment and i hate getting stuff from 3 different places, but if i have to, then i have to.

and like i said, they're not the same thing. stamped washers and cast bushings/ferrules, are not the same. at all.

Yes and no. Mosrite used something that looks just like (and may be) grommets, like in a freaking flag. But I have bought those separate ferrule things before, and they are a bit thicker. Stewmac should have them too.

yeah, the ferrules actually set inside a bored hole, those grommets/washers would just wedge in between the neck plate holes under the pull of the screw.

when assembling a guitar, i've never been much of a hardware store kinda guy.

attaching an undersized screw with a washer to my shelving unit, ace it is.

I would say it all depends on the results you're looking for.If it's a budget build, yeah cheap is better.If you're going for the gold, nothing like top shelf hardware.
