yea pretty much the approach. Also the 'touch.' How the player uses his fingers. If you have a light touch you're going to sound way different than if you had a hard touch. This applies to bends, chords, everything. Like I said though, if you use alot of FX, it won't make much difference.

I think my hamfisted, unskilled approach is definitely more of a Hard Touch. I more choke my guitars to death than play them.

Word. I sent a message to Skeleton Key asking bassist/singer what his setup is because I lurrrrve his bass sound. I eventually figured out his bass is a Steinberger of some sort, slightly sawn-up and covered in gaffa tape.
