help with an amp

So the other guitar player in the band im in just bought a Soldano Astroverb 212, leaving me with the need of a serious upgrade. Any recommendations for a good tube amp that will have a comparable tone without me having to sell crack to afford it?

buy cheap old bassman.
rock cheap old bassman.
(you can score one for pretty cheap depending on where you live and the color of the season)

in all seriousness that grungy sound is more distortion than anything else.

buy a decent clean tube amp and then get yourself a pedal.
