Acoustic pickups

Post by othomas2 »

I think this may be my xmas present for this year... anyone know of one they would recommend ? around the £100 mark ?

I'd want it to be fully installed job... so no cable hanging out of the sound hole and what not.

I've tried some cheaper ones and they've never cut it... very wooly & honky, too much mids... I'm after nice smooth bass and sparkly trebles.

Suggestions ?

There was a round up in Guitarist either this month or last, I'll have a look when I get home.

For about £100 they recommend the Fishman Neo-D.

Thanks for this Thom, I coincidently came across the same article... and it just so happens my work has one in stock which I can have at staff discounts !!

One thing holding me back is that it doesn't have the internal gubbins to plug into the base as I was wanting initially... can this be done at a later date ?? by acquiring the jack socket and soldering it in ???

thanks
Owen
