not the vextor ones though. I think they just have a printed decal.
you are exactly right. & i also what i said was SEXIST. i want to apologize to her & any members of Shortscale that i may have offended w/ my SEXIST comment.
Yea,
I like a lot of the old smashing pumpkins stuff so I know it'll hit that stuff very well. I also dig the Trystie Drive. I thought about the Saltbreaker but I think the Trystie is a little bit smoohter, lower gain OD which I'm looking for considering I have a Rat, DS-2, Muff, etc...I don't need much more distortion.
You ALWAYS need more distortion. I don't think I'll ever have enough dirt on my board.
i definitely NEED more blue-chip dirt (Rat, Big Muff, Fender Blender, Fuzz Factory...). just more dirt in general. probably gonna be what i buy the most of next year.
I've all manner of fuzz... Green Muff (yes I realize thats technically a distortion), E.C. Thunder, Shiva, Fender Blender... what I need to start investing in is some plain old overdrive. I think I'm finally going to order the Behringer Bass Overdrive I've been talking about getting forever. I've also been playing with the idea of a compression pedal.

I like the Trystie Drive that MBM has compared to his Saltbreaker. It's a nice low-medium OD but that Trystie is a nice tone all the way through and through. Worth a listen I think.

i read somewhere online i think that one of the dudes in Coldplay uses a Fuzz Factory. not sure. maybe it was the Edge or something but i specifically remembering it being something about Coldplay and the Zvex Fuzz Factory. can someone help on this i just Googled and i did not find anything.
i ended up selling my FF and got a big muff.
the only real sound that i was using it for was for the crazy oscillation/feedback but after a while the sound started to annoy me
i think a lot of ppl go thru that exact same thing... i know i did.
lasted about two months before i traded it away for something a little more practical.
