I know that I almost bought one from a pawn shop last year. When I finally worked up the 150 bucks, it was gone.
I also know the body is made of some kind of hollow fiberglass/plastic shit. It resonated almost as loudly as an acoustic, unplugged.

What about this bad boy? I know it's not a Supro, but a Silvertone Silhouette 65'. The body shape looks similar.
As I recall, it was made to be a cheapskate alternative to the Jaguars and Jazzmasters.

I just bought one of those silvertones, its a silhouette model 1478,ive been on the search for one for a long time, and being in Australia they come up like once or twice a year.
looking forward to getting it, should be here next week
the bridge also sits on top of the pick guard, its not attached at all. and the pick guard material is the stuff that shrinks and warps.
(but looks awesome)
damn, that thing is so awesome. interesting how the supro and harmony are not truly offset. the lower cutaway is in a normal offset location (down by the bridge pickup) but they brought the upper cutaway down as well to match it, making it no longer offset. probably because fender patented the offset body. the same effect is achieved by bringing the lower cutaway down so it balances better, it doesn't really matter if it's truly offset or not.
my ex had one of those silvertones.
the pups were badass! they sounded awsome with some low gain dirt! it was a solid guitar, the tuners, fretting, setup and overall build quility was WAY better than the squire duo that i got.
they knew what they were doing. the only downside was the bridge and the fact that the non ajustable pups.
