I took delivery of a DD400 yesterday but I'm sure I wanted the DD600 and just got carried away when I saw the cheapest listed thing on my search return. Haven't tried it yet.

I thought you ordered one? That's why I haven't done a demo, because it was you that asked for it, and then I thought I read that you'd bought one anyway.endsjustifymeans wrote:Heard good things about the bass overdrive.
Yeah, the Bass Overdrive is good, but isn't quite a Boss ODB-3. Still great fun though. Even more fun if you have both pedals. It'll make a 5 watt tube amp loud enough to knock over trees. I'd love to try it with something bigger.
The tuner is good for tuning your guitar.
I really like the look of the Tube Monster thingamajig.

I still haven't gotten on it. Everytime I think to order it, theirs something else with higher priority.BacchusPaul wrote:I thought you ordered one? I sat down with both pedals the other day to compare them. With everything at 12 o'clock, the Boss is a good bit thicker sounding, and has more gain. This might just be play in the pots, though, and both pedals will take you to silly levels of gain. Then I used both at the same time, and it sounded huge. Then I stuck a saltbooster in front of them, and it sounded bigger yet, but it was far too far too loud, even with the Epiphone VJ volume at about half seven.
Silly loud, them pedals.

I wonder how fucked up it'd go through my TSA loop...BacchusPaul wrote:I sat down with both pedals the other day to compare them. For example i had a behringer bass synh that didn't really work well with my guitars.BacchusPaul wrote:uh, what do you mean by track? That's a word I usually associate with harmonisers and such
The sounds somethings sounded off and ocassionally little or nothing was picked by it (This was usually on the higher frets).

Nah, this works fine. You cane hear each note well, it's not muddy or anything. Plus it has bass and treble controls so if it was muddy with your particular set up, you could probably tidy that up.
Having said that, it does have a generous amount of bottom end, and I only ever use it with humbuckered guitars and with a 412 cab, so it might be different with single coils and a combo. As good as it sounds with my set up, I can see how it might not work with others.
Still though, at twenty quid, it's worth a punt. It might be a great overdrive pedal if you play very heavy rock/metal.

My Behringer DR100 Reverb is pretty dope. It feels somewhat cheap and fragile, but it sounds alright and has held up well so far. It's especially good, seeing as how I only spent $20 on it and it was packaged with a Behringer Tube Overdrive, which also isn't bad for the price.
And FUCK are those LEDs bright.

It's the behringer version of what King Buzzo uses. That sells it for me.BacchusPaul wrote:Nah, this works fine. You cane hear each note well, it's not muddy or anything. Plus it has bass and treble controls so if it was muddy with your particular set up, you could probably tidy that up.
