i use fender .11s and my 1975 jag always pops the high E after an hour or two. only the high E.
yes on the tailpiece side, just as here.
only the '75 though.

I still haven't snapped a string since I gave it some TLC... it really has worked well.

I can vouch for the needle file technique.
We were having the same issue with a DiPinto Mach IV. Went ahead and filed the holes down a little bit.
That was two months ago. No string snappage yet.

what stirings were you guys using? I just had a high e let loose and unwound in a similar fashion on a TOM bridge.

I have never had any of these problems. But then I don't mash on my strings either. I need to get more aggressive!

3 or 4 times now I've said it now... I've still not snapped any strings !!! I love this Jaguar !
