fuck it, I am gonna have to do this I think. Can you give them a call and see if they still have it whenever you get a chance (or you can send me the number). I won't have the $ till Friday but if it is still there, and nothing else comes up, I am probably on this. For 400 they are awesome teles.

Seemed that it was new. I didn't ask about it though. I'll get the info when I'm there today and let you know all the deets. I think it comes with a hardshell too, not sure though.

What do you want to know about it? I've lusted over it for months. It's used, but in ace shape. plays great ('ve had them pull it down for me like 3 times now.) They want $700.

Perfect. You can tell it's been played, pick scratches and usage dullness... but it looks no worse than like a floor model at any guitar shop.

I agree. if it is still there and all is good, I will get it this weekend. I played one the first week they came out and was impressed. I was going to order a CV tele this weekend, so will gladly throww a few more $ into one of these. Plus I already got to send ends some cash anyways.

I am definitely down for buying this ends. Especially if it is new (just demo) and even more so if it has a case with it (but no big deal on that)..

I played one of those teles, it does feel and sound really good. The finish however looks fake, but for that price i would buy one if i had any money at all....

horrible news Mickie. Either they had it mismarked before or I screwed up the numbers in my head. They want 599 for it not 399. It is new, and it does come with a case. But at best I could maybe talk them down to $500 out the door considering it's been there for over a year now.

The used Mascis Jazz is only 699 comparatively and since it's used there's probably a bit more leeway on the price. I could probably get it out the door for 500 as well, if not slightly more (like 550ish), it's been on the wall for at least 3 months now.

no stress. with xmas coming up it's not like i really NEED to buy any guitars right now but at that price I was interested. I'll hold off for now and maybe let me know if it is still around after xmas (if so I bet they will deal to get rid of it...)

That said, 599 or 500 is still a good deal.

that definitely happens. when i got my squier strat many moons ago, they'd fucked up pretty good with the price. it was supposed to be $399 but sold it to me for $199 or 250. . . chick running the little shop didn't know any better apparently.

I had this exact thing happen to me today; went into my local guitar shop where they had a DeArmond Starfire bass on the wall. I used to have one, it owed me Â£120 (swapped my Burns Marquee for it) and I sold it for Â£350 on eBay years ago - one of my biggest eBay surprises. Anyhow, they had this one on for Â£300, so I thought I'd grab it and have a play. It was only upon removing the price ticket that I saw they had it pegged for Â£800. Fucking Â£500 over the going rate.
