I have one too, it sounds really good but it the lows sometimes sucks...it does a lot of noise...
the rest, it sound perfect with my sg, and it also sounds good with distortion pedals..
Sort of. You can get at where the speaker plugs into the amp, unplug it, and put your own speaker in instead. It's not really handy, but you can get at it.

Unfortunately, it's four ohm only.
Four ohms isn't too bad though. Still several options available. The new Vox AC4 seem to be edging themselves up in my opinion. I am really intrigued by the Hohner Hoodoo Box
aww, that's a shame. I assumed that it would probably sound pretty cool. I see guys using little princetons, champs, and gibsonettes as harmonica amps so I figured it would be voiced similarly to other low watt tube amps.
I am just a home playing hack but having owned the 600 and a couple of the other popular cheaper modern small tube amps - the Gretsch G5222 (?) which has the exact guts of the 600 only different cosmetics, and the Gibson GA-5 (discontinued but available) - I would not go the 600 route - to me cheaply made and a small speaker - save a little more and get the GA-5 - much more amp for the $ - or better yet a real Fender Champ - you can get a 70's SF for 250 - 300 - eight inch speaker and you can flip it if you tire of it. Admittedly, the 600 can be had very cheap - and cheap IS good - its just to me it was having $ tied up in something where with a little more $ I got something with more potential.

There's this tendency to look at those funky, cheap, old little amps and think "OMG TEH SEcRET TONEZ!!!1". Really, most of them sound pretty crummy.
Princetons and Champs are class, of course. Gibsonettes somewhat less so. A lot of the other stuff is really disappointing.
