I WANT MAKE A GUITAR.

Post by Rhysyrhys »

But I'm in the UK... Which seems to be a problem. Or so Google says anyway.

Can't seem to find a lot of good resources and places to buy off the net. Really want to make a mustang.

You could buy all of your parts from 'the guitar parts resource' in America, they ship to UK although they are a little expensive, I have never paid a customs charge on parts before (except a pickguard). I buy most of my parts on Ebay.com, not Ebay.co.uk because even if you do a worlwide search on the UK site it does not show you all of the results.

Paint can be had from the manchester guitar tech, or Halfords paint will more than suffice. If you make a Mustang which is identical to a Fender you will almost certainly end up paying more than if you had just bought it from the shop, you might possibly be able to match the price but I don't think you could build one for less than they sell for.

Buy one, it's cheaper and the guitar will be better. An mustang is £300.

You seriously think you can build a decent, playable guitar for much less?

Sorry, misunderstood. A mustang is £300 on ebay.

Sorry, misunderstood. A Japanese mustang is £300 on ebay.
I picked one up for this price last year, 2nd hand Jap Fenders excellent for the cash, can't be beat imo.
