Epi EBO bass neck pocket FAO CHISA

Post by damienblair17 »

I've been thinking about making a project bass, since I have the broco bass neck and I just came into possession of a random no name p-bass pickup. A thought occurred to me, will a broco neck fit an Epiphonr EBO neck pocket? If anyone knows if it does, or if I could macgyver it to work, that'd be great. I'd have to route the body a bit and get a new pick guard, but that doesn't seem like the hardest part.

EDIT: Chisa, could you measure the neck pocket of your EB0 for me?

I doubt anyone knows the extent of the work. You'll have to figure it out for yourself.

Measure from the fret side of the nut to the 12th fret. Then multiply that by 2. That's your total scale length. Lay the neck on the top of the bass until you have the total scale length from the bridge to the nut. You may have to move the bridge if the neck pocket looks goofy (to far in/out the body).

All I'm asking is if the broco neck (being short scale) will fit in the neck pocket of an EB0 (also a short scale) If yes, great, I'll go find an EB0 body. If not, I'll think of something else.

no idea... wander into a local shop that has one and measure out the neck pocket, then compare those measurements to your bronco bass neck.
