DUNLOP CRYBABY CB-535Q

Post by weeping_moon »

I just bought it today, and im completley love it!!! It was pretty expensive pedal, but when i was at the music store i fell in love with it..
It has 6 different wah sounds..

What kind of wah-wah pedal do you folks prefer?

I have the behringer version of that wah. It's okay sounding. I bought it because it gets close to the Buddah wah sound (which is based off the old Vox wah circuit iirc)
I like me a nice beefy/throaty sound but the music I play doesn't really need one.

I tend to use the wah facility on my Zoom GFX707 Mk1. I'm not that keen on my old Carlsbro (Colorsound) wah, I should sell it as they seem to fetch silly sums. I like my old Vox wah but find it a bit noisy and it's currently on loan to my son.

I had a vox v847a, and sold it. It's too harsh, and not very solid feel under your foot. Not a wide sweep, etc. Also, terrible bypass. I guess I'm not a wah guy, and I can't find a decent one at a low enough price to justify.

I have some Jim Dunlop clone, a Jen Super Cry Baby. Picked it up about 18 years ago for £30, so I guess I have had my moneys worth. Been a decent pedal, quite a nice sweep and Bomb Proof. Thinking of getting a Morley Power Wah Volume to save a bit of pedal board space.
Don't look at me I'm irrelevant!

i use a colorsound wah that i bought a year or two ago during a brief period when the pound was low on the dollar. it might not be the best-sounding wah in the world (though it does sound cool), but i really love the doublewide sweep it has.
