Lindy Fralin Mustang Pickups

Post by Martin101 »

I'm interested in a set of Lindy Fralin Mustang pickup. I was wondering if anyone could tell me anything about these pickups. Wheater they are worth it and I should just leave in my stock pickups.

thanks

Checkout some online demos, if you like them and can justify the cost. Then go right ahead.

But if you prefer the stock pickups and they work fine for you, leave them be.

Noirie, that's more 'outline the thought process behind buying things' rather than any actual, you know, information.

if you're gonna get into this swanky level of pickups, I would also consider Jason Lollar and Curtis Novak.

EDIT: I've looked into things a bit more. lollar doesn't make mustang pickups. novak does though and has this to say about them:
Over the years I have owned a number of vintage Mustangs, Duo Sonics, and MusicMasters, I have also repaired many of these. I can make it for any era you wish if no preference I model this pickup after my original '64 Duo Sonic II pickup. This a truly amazing guitar. I bought and sold many other vintage guitars Strats, Teles and such, this is one I will never sell.
sounds like the kinda guy I'd like making my mustang pickups.
cogito ergo sum...thing or other...
