I was thinking about the original one today, actually. In hindsight, wouldn't it kind of be easier to make a body from scratch so as to make more room on the body for proper trem to bridge distance?

Those pickups are way too close to each other.

It's like a retarded, midget cousin of the Jag.

I actually kind of like this more than the jag bass. Probably because its shortscale like a jaguar should be.

actually sub, yes. at the time when i measure the bridge would be sittin in the wood in front of the trem plate. i forgot to take into account that i was taking a bit off of the neck so that way it would have the heal of a jaguar but overhang. so it was a bit of a fuck up and "well, i gotta roll with it"

I had the sunburst one. A friend owed me some money and Gave me one to cover part of the money. It looked nice but that was about it. The hardware sucked, and the electronics were crappy. It played like crap, after a setup it was ok but still felt pretty bad. I have to say it looked absolutely awesome on a stand though.

What I've read from many many reviews on SX guitars is that they sometimes are amazing and sometimes are complete shit. I'm not doubting the one you had sucked, but I know some people who love their guitars.

I am willing to accept they make some good ones. I have never got one though. I have had 2 sx basses and 2 sx guitars. They were all pretty much garbage. I know people rave about them, and I am sure they can pop out a good one.
