'78 bronco - problems

Post by muffinman »

hi, i have a '78 black fender bronco, and im having some issues:
- the strings lasts about 3 days, and always the first on getting cutted its the 5th. They cut in the bridge...
- its calibrated for .010 strings, but in the 2nd and 1st strings (even with the shorter individual bridge position) im not getting a right pitch above 12th fret (its flat compared to the harmonic)...

some ideas? i will post photos soon...

thanks in advance...

i think that this can help:

I don't really understand your questions. I presume English isn't your first language?

Do you have experience of setting up guitars?
As previously mentioned: intonation
I can help with set up if needed.

I don't get your string problem though, the strings don't rub on anything.

haha, intonating broncos isn't exactly the easiest thing in the world. if it's close, i'd just go with it.
what are you doing when the strings break? that tremolo isn't designed for divebombs.
