poly fucking checks and turns colors over time.
this is my 96 jag, and as i sat playing it in my new apt the sun hit it just right and i was able to catch the best pic to date of the checking on the back.
i have had this since 98 and it has been my main guitar for every bit of 8 years, and it shows it!
everything from a bullet hole, to a spot where a a beer bottle was smashed, to ciggarette burns, wear marks on the neck. i have leveled and crowned the frets probly 3 times, and it will be needing it again within the next year.

OMG i totally do not remember taking "nude" pics with you two, but i must say, we are a sexy bunch.
my camera kinda sucks and its hard to get good pics of the checking in normal light. but believe me, everytime i show this guitar to someone they are like, "what the fuck is up with the finish cracks?"
i have been telling people for years that poly does check but no one ever believes me.
i think that some of it may be just that i played so many gigs with it where it sat in a back seat in hot/cold weather and the temp would always change.
plus this thing has been in ohio, illinois,wisconsin, kentucky, new york, missoursi, indiana.. im probly forgetting a few places.
its my number 1 for a reason.
