'66 Classic Jaguar - Only bought this over the weekend and love it thus far. If course, time will tell if it remains a main instrument, but I can't see putting it aside; I've wanted a Jag for FAR too long to abandon it

Fender Aerodyne Telecaster - had this one for about 2 years now and still love it. It's been my main guitar since buying it. The neck is super comfortable and easy to play, it sustains for years, and the neck pickup (vintage style soapbar, P-90 like) is goddamn heaven. The Jag simply can't replace the sweet sounds from that pickup

Godin Exit 22 - Got this one maybe 5-6 year ago; my first guitar. Before buying the Jag, I'd made a conscious choice to pull this one out more often and play it... and was reminded that I rather enjoy it and that it's pretty versatile. I was thinking about selling it when I bought the Tele, but my wife convinced me to hold on to it; I think she had more sentiment towards it as my first guitar than I did... glad I didn't sell it! It kind of fills the Strat-y side of things.
Alvarez acoustic - no idea what model this is; it's an old 12-string converted to a 6. I got this for free from a friend who found it in someone's garage as a project. I had to carve a saddle for it, and do a bunch of work to get it into playing condition... it was full of dirt, wood, insects, etc, and had been shot with a pellet gun and speckled with paint... but it's working and plays and SOUNDS surprisingly good. I don't think anyone would buy it if I tried to sell it

The other four guitars were inherited this summer after my father-in-law died. The acoustics all need work, as the tops under the bridge are buckled and lifting

Basses
Fender Aerodyne Jazz Bass - bought this one about 3-4 years ago and it's my main bass and the one I gig with. Fantastic instrument.
Yamaha BBN5 - This is the first bass I bought new, about 10 years ago now; a 5-string. For a 5er, this thing plays beautifully and has pretty good sound, but I'm just not a 5-stringer anymore, I've gone back to 4s. I only occasionally play this now, but I doubt I'll sell it... I think it plays/sound like more money than I'd get for it

Profile/Yamaha fretless P/J Bass - This is kind of my first bass that I bought about 15 years ago; it was a Profile P-bass copy, but I've since swapped the neck for a fretless Yamaha Jazz type neck and replaced the pickups. I play it now and again, but not particularly often. I keep it partially for sentiment, partially because it's my only fretless.
I've also got a mandolin from my father-in-law, a cheap ass ukulele, and a few wind instruments and percussions. In general, I love instruments and I love being surrounded by them... even if I don't play them, I think it would take some pretty strong circumstances to make me sell them.
