I don't notice the Salt Booster outselling the SHO so he must be doing something right + the Inventobox is a very good deal for the price!

Where exactly did I claim I was outselling him or that I was a more popular builder/designer? However personally I think the Saltbooster is a better pedal (it doesn't crackle for one) and sounds great. Also it costs Â£30. A SHO is Â£160.

The Inventobox is a good deal for $299 is it?
That's with no modules.

With that coin you could buy your own breadboard, pots, cases and components and get way more DIY pedals completed and done, and learn a great deal more along the way. Plus your pedals would be completed and ready to go whenever you wanted them - not at the mercy of breaking down and rebuilding each time.

That's assuming that you can build pedals, the Inventobox is a halfway house. Also although 299 is alot without modules, it's meant to be 399 with 3 modules, so 3 ZVex pedals for 399 = 133 each, that's not bad + you can create new sounds... that said, I won't be buying it.

Well I'd bet you'll find many more Salt Boosters on this forum than any Zvex pedals. And that's all that matters buddy.

I don't think the Inventobox can be used successfully by anyone who doesn't know the basics of building pedals. They will make stupid wiring errors and get a non working thing which cost them 400 bucks and a lot of frustration.

Hey, I'm open to both ideas, I don't own any ZVex or Made By Mikes. I just think the idea is promising.

Meh, it's more about buying something affordable, from someone who's not jobber looking to turn massive profits, and performs/sounds top self. Well that's why "I" don't buy Zvex pedals and would turn down a free zvex over a free mbm. That's just truth.

Advertising, sure but I've seen more Zvex pedals and demos on Youtube than I have MBM. Wasn't won over by anything he's done, not saying they're not good pedals...just not worth what he's asking.

That's a pedal I made for Reece. He also made that banner with the Jaguar he bought from Fran.

I didn't select it for airing today, I think dots must have. He has a Saltbooster too.

I guess this means I've bought them all off? Or maybe this is just a community.

The pedals I make and Shortscale will always be inextricably linked. I built my first pedals for Shortscalers at a price which barely covered parts. I did a run of 28 pedals which became the Saltboosters. Then people started ordering custom stuff, it was all because of this place. These people are my friends, my peers. They gave me the support and confidence to build more pedals, their words of enthusiasm kept me going and encouraged me to make more complicated pedals. I never thought I would more from making simple Boost pedals, but soon I was making Fuzzes, Overdrives, Distortions, Tremolo pedals, Chorus pedals and even Delay pedals. It has grown to something that is bigger than selling to people on Shortscale who are interested in pedals but I never forget what started this. These people; my friends.

So yes you might find a bunch of people here playing pedals I made them, and I cut everyone on shortscale better deals than I do for orders I get via my website and youtube. Because this is a community, because I'm only too happy to try and give something back to it in any way I can.

To suggest I use this place to drum up business or advertise though is not only inaccurate, it is offensive to me and to shortscale. Firstly noone here would put up with that, and secondly all my pedal dealings are in the Whorehouse, a forum firmly designed with business ventures and such in mind. I do not recommend my pedals over others in threads. I do not make threads outside the whorehouse and classifieds about selling them.

On a side note, I truly believe Aen is going to take over the world with his devices. Another top notch pedal maker Tim and his boxes too....so you can see where there's not a whole lot of room here for cork sniffers. Not with this community. We love tonez, we get them tonez...but from real people. Honestly cool fucking people.
