will be more of a gingham, no.

I didn't even realize the lighter blue was for the compstripes until now. Tinted clear does make it look like some nasal wallpaper, mebbe opinions will change.

Thanks everybody, really appreciate the comments!

It was such a pain in the ass holding the camera while doing the work I almost said fuck it, I'll take pictures when I'm done.
My wife bar tends till 5am on Fridays, so I got all the clear coats on it last night while she was out of the house. The last thing to do before letting it cure for a month is put the tint coat on it and to be honest I'm a little nervous. Right now it is thick and glossy looking. I guess I'll just have to take the plunge and do it.

Some songs I wrote and played, just goofing around. I've got tons of them.

So stoked that yer Happy.
What can I say, I don't fuck around when there's work to be done :} It might seem fast, but really the first day was sanding, second primer, third color and yesterday was stripe and clear. I'll get the tinted coat on today, then it's just waiting and waiting and waiting...........

I've always thought very highly of you Rod, but this is the coolest thing I have seen in years.

You, and shortscale, are top class.

Beers on me when you get to London.

When writing the name "Bob" quotation marks must be used to signify a sort of demonic halo.

Nice, I'll have an Carlsberg.

I got the tint done and it turned out great. Don't know what I was worried about, even with out wet sanding and buffing, it's got a ton of depth. The first few pics are just clear and the last 2 are tinted. It should be dry to the touch by the end Blackhawks game I'm watching then I'll take the tape out of all the routes and let it cure for a few weeks. I taped off the routes to save the original finish that was in them and to make sure the neck fits back in the pocket without any problems.
There is one little hiccup in the stripe where a piece of my dogs hair got in there. It won't show show up in the pictures, but it's there. The good news is it's chihuahua hair and the guitar is going back to Mexico, seriously though it's very minor.

It looks seriously mint. You've done a cracking job on this.

I can't wait to see it reassembled in all it's glory.

I don't want to jinx it, but since you posted that we've gone from being behind 4-3 to scoring 2 goals and are now up 5-4 with 6 minutes left!

Just to give you an idea of what it looks like in person, the color is very close to the forearm of my beat up guitar. I don't want to handle it too much for at least a day, so any more pictures are gonna have to wait. :}

Oh shit, while typing this the Hawks just scored a power play goal putting us up 6-4!! DO NOT TAKE THAT SHIRT OFF!
