Talk about all other types of guitars. Jazzmasters and basses go here!

go around to the local pawn shops. give a description of it to local music stores. keep an eye on craigslist.

Pawn shops are awful. A huge part of their business is addicts pawning and selling shit they've stolen. It's too easy to get and keep a pawnbroker license, at least where I live.
Life's but a walking shadow, a poor player, that struts and frets his hour upon the stage, and then is heard no more; it is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.

Check every eBay, Gumtree.com and any other site like that daily.

Also, I agree with the pawnshop comment above.

I'd definitely file a police report as well but this goes without saying. If it was stolen from the pub maybe their insurance would cover you?

Me also. I live in Gloucester and check the two local pawn shops often. Link me to a picture of it or similar so I know what to keep an eye out for.

Out of curiosity which pub was it?

I've always liked the fact that if my gear was stolen and ended up on ebay, shortscale would pretty much have it tied up in terms of being able to identify what's there and looking often enough to catch it.

It sounds like you're onto it if a friend knows of a guy who has it. It's good you've already filed a report and have an incident number, they aren't going to put more officers on the case or start working in shifts to solve it but if you have a good lead and someone to back your story up (the friend - I'd take the friend with you or bevery sure of the details your friend knows when you go if you go yourself) then I imagine they'll at least check it out.

same here actually, i think my gigging guitars are distinctive enough to be noticed if some thieving cunt ebayed them.

Okay, maybe it's my age talkin' here but you don't really know what went down. He could have bought it off someone, anything could have happened.

Take the old bill with you. Let them sort it. Only thing you should care about is getting your guitar back, full stop.
