Should I get a Twin Reverb or a Super Reverb?

Out of curiosity, have you found with your Twin that it's somewhat unforgiving when using lower quality pedals? I find that mine is really noisy with cheaper pedals, but just fine with better quality boxes. I mean, cheaper pedals are kinda noisy, but I find the Twin really doesn't get along with low quality noise that's less apparent on many other amps.Pens wrote:I love my Twin, but then I've always sought extremely clean amps and using pedals.
Hmmm. Well, It sounds fantastic with a Rat and Dano TOD. When I tried running a Behringer sans-amp clone thing through it, it sounded like ass. I think it's because the GDI is an amp modeler. Amp modelers usually sound bad on actual amps unless their speaker sims can be disabled ala POD.Pens wrote:Hmmm. As to whether Twin or Super, I'd go with Super. I've played a Super before for a good part of a year and some Twins in that same year as well. All I can say is that the breakup of the Super, which comes earlier, is a welcome sight as compared to the Twin's your-ears-must-bleed-first.
