I just saw one on sale Friday at Guitar Center for $169. Went to a couple of local music stores to see if i could find one. My very last stop was Guitar Center.
They had one on display, so i take it to the counter the dude scans it and says 'We have one of these in the box in the back room, do you want it instead'?
it was $249.

Yeah, $169 is a great price. I just picked up the silver sparkle strat today for $169. The guy at Guitar Center said they were limited edition FSR (Factory Special Run) and just priced really low to get rid of the remaining in stock. The pickups in the Tele and Strat actually sound really good, they are Alnico.
