It's not mine. Just thought you would dig the pictures of this cool Korean copy from the 90's(?)

I think it might be very hard to find one one ebay. They made very few of these before the company ceased production in the 90's Vester Guitars(wiki)ace wrote:I dig the design. Any idea how much these pop up for on ebay or something?

Hi all,
New to this forum, actually just found when googling for some info on a guitar of mine - the Vester pictured here above. It's actually that very same guitar, not just an identical one, juding from wood flame and small marks.
Anyway, I bought this a few years ago from Germany. (I'm in Sweden myself). It a very well built copy, a sturdy construction along the lines of a real Rick. It's notably lighter though, so it could be different wood I guess. It does indeed have the stereo output, which I haven't any other Rick copies have, and it works great. It's in really great cosmetical condition, sounds great and is easy to play.
Having said all of this, I did nevertheless recently buy a "real" Rick 12, and while I still like playing this it might be a bit overkill to have 12's. So I'm thinking of selling this off. If i do so depends on interest of course. I doubt I'd like to see it go for under 700 Euros. It's a damn nice guitar and a very rare one too. As mentioned above, it's in great shape. Only concern is that it appears to have ground problem which has appeared recently. A hum when touching either pickup, essentially. Pretty easy to fix I would think, but not something I would venture into I guess. It would come with it's original hard case as pictured above.
Please send me an email through my profile here if you would be interested. I think you can do that, right? Otherwise, please post in this thread.
Take care!
/David

Thank you for the nice welcome to a first time poster...Justin J wrote:i think posting for-sale ads outside the classifieds is against the forum rules and this could be considered spam. you might want to pursue selling the guitar through other means.

I figured it would be nice to primarily give some more information on the guitar, so the selling thing was't the main point I guess.
Anyway...mods, feel free to do what you like with the post.

Edit: Hehe, turns out I needed 50(!!??) posts to post to even view the classifieds.
Oh well...I'll just discuss this guitar elsewhere, I guess.

Hmmm
Maybe it's just me, but am I the only one that noticed this thing is strung backwards? A Rick (or even a copy) always has the heavy string on top with the octave string on the bottom. It is one of their trademark differences that set them apart from other 12 strings...........

Re: Hmmm
You are correct, but then again I am yet to see a Rick copy that is strung like a real Rick. The old japanese Grecos aren't, this one isn't, newer Asian-made copies like Eagle and Indie are not, etc...crazydave911 wrote:Maybe it's just me, but am I the only one that noticed this thing is strung backwards?
