Bugera BVV3000 (Ampeg Copy) Price Announced
DV247 hasn't given it a price yet, it says TBA, however Dolphinmusic has them at £622, which is a long, long way from the price I was expecting.

Well, the real version (sort of, the Bugera is a copy of the old Ampegs, and Ampeg are bringing out a limited edition reissue type thing) costs $3359.99.

I think you have to really look at what it is emulating price wise.
The knock-off of the SVT3 pro they make is 400 USD but the real one is about 1200-1300 new.
This model is going to land at about 600 or so USD from what I can tell, and the vintage re-issue ampegs are 1999. There is a cheaper version that is 1699. So no matter how you look at it, it is 1/3 price. That seems about right. We are just stuck on Bugeras low prices for the smaller watt guitar amps, but us costs alot more to make bass amps. Shipping costs alone are at least double as are the actual parts costs.

I agree the price for the amp itself isn't bad, considering it is essentially a $2000 amp made on the cheap. It probably is the cheaper bugera amps that is swaying our views on the price but when you take a step back and look at it its a pretty good deal, if you're looking for THAT particular amp there isn't much of a reason to fork out the 2 grand when you can have this for 1/3 the price even if it is made overseas.
I, personally, would spend the six bills on a different amp like an old fender head but thats just my preference

I agree, but when these start popping up on craigslist for 3-400 that is another thing. I eep waiting for one of the svt3pro ones to show up on CL. If I ever see one I will probably buy it... THey are 400 new so should hit the CL market at 2-300 tops.

I hear you on that..I just can't wait until these are popping up used for 200.... I dont even play bass, but used to run a jam night and ma thining about starting another one up. I want a decent bass amp, but do not want to spend alot of $Billy3000 wrote:Has anyone ever played the bugera bass amps? How do they sound? I've never seen anyone that has carried them.
Either way I couldn't justify spending $400 on the SVT 3 copy seeing as how you can find actual Ampeg SVT 3 pros used for around that price.

I hear that. For around $200 I would totally snatch one of those up as a backup! The only ampegs you can get for around that price even used are the crappy B2R amps.mickie08 wrote:I hear you on that..I just can't wait until these are popping up used for 200....
