Any opinions on the Vox AC4TV Tube Amp? I tried one the other day with a strat, and I was impressed, but I'll have to try it with my guitar.
What else is out there similar in sound and price?

I think it sounds good, but the tube placement is the worst I could imagine. The tubes sit on the same side of the board as the electronics with little ventilation and cook all the components from less than an inch away. I would think the years would be very hard on it.

Good to know. The amp seems to be completely sealed, and heavy for it size.
I'm going to check out the Peavey's next, I think.

tried it but there pretty much zero headroom if you are looking to rehearse with this thing. Its got a pretty nice drive but thats all it does

Yeah.
The wattage switch is handy, but it is just barely enough for a tame band practice.
