For some reason I want it to be as goofy as the Nighthawk but it just isn't. It seems in between traditional and crazy and it just doesn't look right.

Neat guitar though, definately a lot better than the crazy stuff Gibson is doing these days

Blues 90 pickups are based on Gibson P90 single coil pickups - continuing the same soap-bar appearance, but with a substantially modified interior. Blues 90s have -

Alnico 5 magnets for pole pieces - rather than the steel or ceramic magnets (depending on which "authority" you are reading) used in many forms of P90 pickup

and they also have that "dummy coil" thing for hum canceling operation.

A friend of mine had one, but had to return it because the neck from the factory was warped.

I had one of these years ago. TI was my first decent electric. Mine had a bigsby though. I loved that guitar at the time. It would be interesting to see how my opinion would hold up now.

It's very plinky. Maybe that's his amp or the recording. I kinda expected the guitar to have more balls with them P90s.

Yeah the Blues 90's sound a little different than P-90's,not as fat.

I just spotted one of these for sale in a shop in Brstol today but with a bigsby that looked like this but in black:

It was very nice indeed. Â£650 as well.

Apparently its fitted with P100's instead of P90s.

The Blueshawks have "Blues 90" pickups. They are single coil like a P-90 but they have a dummy coil to eliminate noise.

They're nice players, but I like the other 3 guitars in your collection better.
