That's a pretty penny! Going rate for a Japanese '62 with binding is about that on ebay, and those are really good guitars. The Squier looks really good though.

Have you played a CV guitar?
The quality is up there with the Japanese stuff these days.
cheapest I've seen in the UK is £259. Already started the fund to purchase one and hope a few things on ebay go for a pretty penny. Digital Village say they are getting them in stock on the 29th so I emailed them to see when they have them in the local store so that I can try it out (you have to request them getting them from the warehouse as they have about 6 guitars in the Bristol store). Just hope it plays and sounds as good as it looks
Is it bad I want to trade my MIM tele for one of these? the only real difference is bridge and binding. Oh, and the toggle switch is slightly different. But the binding man, the binding!

Not at all. I certainly wouldn't trade my CV Strat for a MIM Strat, and that binding is fucking sexy.
Here's where your mother sleeps, and here is the room where your brothers were born. Indentions in the sheets, where their bodies once moved but don't move anymore.

but this guitar makes me think I should try again.
The newer more expensive stuff from squier is seems to be very good, people say some are better then the sheaper mim fenders. The squier cv strat i played was really nice, if i wanted on that would probably be the i would bought.
