New Roadworn Fenders

5 knobs and a switch in the Roxy jazz bass? What on earth are all those controls for? Does it have an active EQ and preamp circuit, just like the basses of the 60's?

You got it.

It's not a bad design at all, nearly identical to the one in my Dame Classic V (that I've been trying to sell) featuring a pickup blend knob instead of independent volume controls. It just looks so funky in something trying too hard to be old and stuff.

Are the roadworns 7.25inch radius? When i tried them, i remember the neck feeling weird.

Both the Strats are 7.25" which is the vintage correct radius. Not the flatter more "modern" 9.5".

The Telecaster Deluxes when they came out were a 12" radius with a chunky neck and I imagine this will be the case on their Road Worn equivalents.

Thos Roxy's are awful looking. When the image was all blurry, before it had loaded properly, I read the headstock as Rolf.

I do like 7.25" necks. It annoys me that you can't get it on anything but these and the Classic Series.

CIJ Jags and Mustangs have 7.25" radius necks.

Aye, I meant on Strats.

I've sometimes considered a Strat, but for some reason I think it ought to be 7.25".

I liked the idea of the Road worn series.

But I wish they wouldn't waste their time with that crappy relic-ing and just sell them as cheap reissues. I would be WAY more interested then. But I guess they did with those '72 teles and the thinline tele.

unfortunately, if they didn't do the relicing, it wouldn't make them any cheaper.

haha i love the cigarette burn on the headstock... i can just imagine the douche bag that makes that a decal or something ridiculous.

what really gets me about these road worn line is how the all have EXACTLY the same wear.
