Peerless Songbird with gibson p90's. made by the same company that make the epiphone casinos. same kind spec as the new inpsired by john lennon casino. this thing plays amazing, spent good hour and a half playing this in the shop today. did a straight swap for my mustang. plus got the case and a shed load of strings too. sounds amazing, nice cleans and crunch and the neck is amazing to play.

Gorgeous. Love the clear guard. It all looks very clean, despite the mismatched pickups and natural finish. It ought to look quite busy.

i must admit, i was a little sad to say bye bye. but i was never 100% with it. it was great to play, but the neck was a little skinny for my taste and i wanted something with hotter pickups. i could of modded the stang, but i didn't want to feck around with it. out of the guitar i own, that was the one that i could sell and still get a fair price for it. the strat and tele can never be sold.

It just looks perfect in the last photo. I actually like them with pickguards but agree that the clear one wasn't doing it any favours. Love the narrow necks on Casinos, so comfortable.

Really jealous of that one.

Hmmm... Maybe it's time to finally let some things go and get my own Casino.

Are the pickups in the Epiphone worse than these in the Peerless?

I havent played much guitars but I really like the crunch (now I sound like the dude on GFS) and the 'clean' tones.
swell.

I was thinking of trying out different pickups, but oh well.

the pickups on the peerless are gibson USA P90's. same one's used on gibson goldtops and stuff. the standard epiphone casino has non gibson alnico P90's. my goldtop has epiphone p90's and i find they sound a little muddy. the peerless's sound quite clear with good bottom end.

Aha, too bad..eh.
Would those GFS pickups be a 'upgrade' ?
GFS alcino 'vintage' wound p90

yes..
sorry, I am messing a topic, but does installing a bigsby add some sustain?
/some questions Ive been aching to ask,but making a new topic would be too crazy/
