If he wants money, parting it out is the way forward - as it is it's a very niche guitar.

The parts however would be worth plenty on their own.

Skinny dudes love 'em too because they're so small, thin and light. I consider a tele to be much more fussy for a skinny guy to be walking around with, due to the weight and poking you in the ribs, etc...

My friend Smiffy (real name Paul, was causing too much confusion) told me the other day that the first time he saw Angus Young with an SG he figured it was a model custom made for AC/DC to look like Satan.

Funny, i never really looked at these kind of things until recently. Looking at some gig pictures i thought the Mustang looked small on me, im not a huge guy but i looked like a bloke with a girls guitar

Just an update. I was worried about the thick necks on Les Pauls and also about upper fret access so I eventually went with an Explorer, therefore I will almost certainly be selling the Jag. I'm still not sure whether to sell it whole or in parts, I want to get the best price for it.

I thought it's time I bought a guitar that suits the music that I listen to.

I have no idea how I would go about parting out this Jaguar. Should I just split it into body/ neck or more than that? electronics/ body/ neck?

in all honestly i don't like white knobs, white pearl, humbucker rings, chicken head knobs or maple necks on jags. to say i'm not a fan of that jag is an understatement.

hence i think the explorer looks way better than the jag.

It isn't being delivered until Tuesday but I'm sure it'll do fine. Mahogany body, set neck and high output pickups can only mean good things.

'Vulgar display of power' has to be one of the greatest Metal albums of the last 25 years imo. Can't fault you, it's a tough call trying to pull off Dimebags style though.

Check 'Painkiller' out by Judas Priest, the guitars are immense although the vocals are annoying.

I just didn't get along with him, it was a shame 'cos he's an amazing player. He's in a band called Vendetta, I've never heard of them but they have CDs out.
