Samick Les Paul Custom Silverburst Copy 80's model

Post by Joey »

Got offered a silverburst 80's les paul copy for around $200. I'm pretty sure it's a set neck, Korean made, no model or SS# though. How's the shape of these guitars compared to Les Paul. The photo I have of it are warped, makes it look long and skinny. I used to have a Samick les paul black beauty and it looked fine to me. It's got Steve Vai pickups in it from DiMarzio and Gotch replacement tuners. I really want it but the warped photo are making me nausea, they don't look that ugly do they?

Looks fine to me. You can always sell the pickups to fund new ones if you don't like them, I'm sure some sucker would buy into Steve vai mojo

it looks good for a silverburst, nicely yellowed. My only gripe is that these RI silverbursts burst around the edges instead of a tear-drop shape like the originals do. Makes them look all shit

I had a Samick 335 years ago that was great, if its set neck $200 is a decent deal. Not a popular brand in itself but they make half the Epiphone, Washburn and various brands guitars anyway.

Am hoping it's not really that pronounced and just the distortion of the photos.

I waited for the roads to dry up, wasn't bad at all. I don't recall the last time we got 4" of snow, never ever happens.

I picked it up a little bit ago. Finish looked great in person. I gotta find my camera and post some better photo's.
