Try not to hate it too much.

Brown locks set adrift the golden hues.
Her yellow & turquoise blur,
possibly a figment of my imagination.
I pace myself to her sunset, but my efforts are
in vain.
Orange fades to red, & my heart bleeds.
Dark scarlet with streaks or purple,
my ideas and philosophies.
Six steps on five tiles, with only four ounces of courage.
In three seconds I come up with two good reasons to let it go,
one of which is tangible.
My flaws outweigh her beauty.
I love her vicariously.
