seems to work, all the heat is coming from the valve sockets via the valves themselves adn this grill is positioned pretty much above them

Similar to the beer fill port that Vox provides to top up the AC-30 with valve coolant.

isn't it a problem with some bridge rectifiers or something?

just replace them with ones that can handle higher wattage, i did that on the jcm900 sl-x and it was great.
