Tell us your thoughts on the M13 please Tim. (Or point me in the right direction if I've missed it!).

Will do - it's been hectic lately, since we've all been taking it in turns being ill, and my evening work has started up again. I was meant to be home alone this weekend, but my wife got bronchitis, so I have been a combination of nurse and taxi-driver instead. But I will sort something (written) soon, I promise.

I'm fairly sure he's really chuffed with it, and was even impressed by the dirt and fuzz sounds on it.
I'm pretty much unsurprised, because Line6 make really good delay and modulation/filter stuff so you're effectively getting a shitload of DL-4s and some other gubbins. They also have a fantastic ethos when it comes to releasing patches to update the badboy, which is very cool.
The M9, the smaller brother, is very popular on Harmony Central FX Forum and the Line6 guys are actually asking people what they want in future updates. I cannot stress how cool that is.

by frogfest, i should have mine. so your welcome to try it out.Doog wrote:I gotta admit, the M9 is pretty tempting. I'd love to play a show with one of 'em to see how practical it is live.
The idea of having all the sounds you use live saved, AND THEY ALL SOUND REALLY GOOD is just too cool.

Yeah, for a big FX user like yourself, an M9 and a pair of expression pedals would be a tool of real genuine power. You can just whack a RAT in front of it also if you don't like the dirts.Doog wrote:I gotta admit, the M9 is pretty tempting. I'd love to play a show with one of 'em to see how practical it is live.

There was a group buy on HCFX but the discount wasn't all that much from the initial £300 to force my hand, especially given the Divorce and all that shit.
Cheers Proggy- I'm down in Brighton for a show in March, I might try one out in GAK. Or maybe the shop in Bognor will stock 'em? Who knooooows.
Yeah, they're not dirt cheap by any means but you sure do get a lot of bang for your buck.
I love how they're capable of making more than just "standard" guitar sounds too, so it won't feel like you're too tethered:

I can totally see one in my future, like.

This, plus wanting a display-per-bank, was what swung me over to the M13.Doog wrote:The only gripe I'd have is that you can only have 3 simultaneous effects on the M9, out of a possible 6 presets per scene. But thinking about it, 3 is pretty much the most I'd use at any point anyways- I could always use an outboard booster pedal to save myself another preset.

those demos sound well good. the organ sounds pretty convincing, gotta get my wakeman on with that.
i'm definitely going to use some sort of outboard drive, though i've they do sound good, i'd be happy to use the internal ones
