I don't hate it at all. The LP classic was the guitar that really turned me onto Gibsons. How many les pauls does this make? 4?

I like it a lot too! My friend had a classic in tobacco sunburst and I liked it a lot. I prefer tobacco sunburst to cherry burst any day.

Could use some chrome PU covers! Dunno why I'm a sucker for pickup covers.

Thanks guys. I know most bursts are boring but this one is actually a special color and I think very pretty.

Also,it has flavor crystals.

The Classic series was amazing - I think the 1960 Classic Goldtop was the first real LP I played and still one of the best.

Yeah,I really like the Classic. I used to have one but sold it a couple of years ago. When I saw this one at my local store I had to have it.

The 2-tone affair is quite nice, and my brain is trying to convince my heart that it isn't one of those cheapass knock-off Epiphones that are quietly sold out of Seoul music shops after hours.

All of which are unfortunately that color.

I really dig the classics.....but you got to change those stock pickups. Put one of the million humbucker sized P90s in the neck, and nice slightly hotter than vintage humbucker in the bridge and you'll have a sweet rock machine!

No,it is a ponzi scheme.True fact: when I was a kid I used to hang out in front of a candy store called Ponzi's. All the kids who hung out there(for generations) were know as "ponzi boys".

I usually keep everything stock but maybe I will put Tom Anderson pickups in it.

I actually prefer Les Paul's without pickup covers.. or with pickup covers but no pickguard. I dig that.

yeah, its just that the classic has a big "1960" on it and then they put their absolute hottest ceramic humbuckers in.....weird choice Gibson. If you play metal you might dig them but most people who like the LP for non chugga chugga stuff aren't too down with the hot ceramics.

I used to own an LP Standard. Great guitar, one of the best necks I've ever played. I had to sell it because it weighed a billion pounds. Even playing sitting down it would put my leg to sleep due to the crushing weight.

I don't know much about the Classics. Besides the pickups, what's the difference compared to an LP Standard?
