It's arrived, my Jagmaster ! First observations
Well my Jagmaster has arrived ! ! A quick try after it adjusted to the room temperature and it seems like it may meet my needs but time will tell.
It does feel "short", I find my hand wanting to travel further down the neck towards the headstock. Additionally it's going to take some time to adjust to the shorter distance between the fret wires, I find myself hitting wrong notes.
The three-way switch is suspect, it doesn't feel like it achieves a "lock" in either bridge or neck positions. Feels like a jarring could cause it to center. Is this common ? Will order one from Guitar Electronics unless someone else has a suggestion.

It's just a switch. It's not a common "fault".
It can be confusing if you're not used to playing different scale lengths at first.
I really doubt you needed to allow the guitar to adjust to room temp first. I mean, you sort of have to do that with a goldfish you win at the fair. But a guitar isn't a goldfish. It's just a guitar.

Mine was like that as well. It never slid out of position, but it always felt like it was about to. Like I said, I hated the guitar as a whole. It only survived 2 weeks with me before I slapped the neck on my MIM Duo-Sonic and sold the body loaded for chump change.NJjoanjettfan wrote:Well my Jagmaster has arrived ! ! it should also be noted that that neck is uncommonly tiny even for a short scale. The neck taper so thin at the nut that I'd just end up mashing strings. I like a chunkier mustang type neck.

not at all. my gibby les paul, my m-80, my hi-flyer, everything except the jagmaster takes a well inentioned flick to change position.Reece wrote:wait, are switched like that not normal?
every guitar i've had with a three way bar the artcore had one of those switches that springs back to centre even with a light touch.

I had the same problem with my the switch on my Jagmaster. I'd never seen that on any other guitar.
It should be said that I had a lot of love for that guitar. My first fender style guitar, first offset, first guitar that I really had fun playing. It never really sounded all that great, but I always liked that feel.
