My guitar pedal-board continues to change. Here is my last pic of my pedal board
I recently added a MBM Saltbreaker/Saltbooster pedal and MBM Fuzzface. So I am considering selling my BOSS OD-20 , my Dano Cool Cat Drive V2 (new) and possibly my EHX Holystain. I can't decide what pedal to get next and would love some feedback. If I sell all those pedals I could possibly get:
EHX POG2
EHX Cathedral
EHX Memory Boy and MBM OCD pedal
EHX Deluxe Memory Boy
Let me know what you think of these pedals. My style of music is bluesy Rock-alternative.

I'd shoot for the dlx memory boy but you have a dl-4 and I don't exactly know your delay needs. You don't exactly have a dedicated reverb so the cathedral would be ace. POG is killer but again, don't know your needs.
You've got me thinking about a pog/dlx mb/cathedral combo. That and some dirt would nail a lot of sounds I get out if my rig and a few others I have in my head. If your looking for a feedback dirt I don't have much to recommend. I have a mt-2 thaat does great feedback but is arse in all other uses. IMO feedback has more to do with your pickups and amp.
If I had to add one of those mentioned to my rig it'd be the pog-2
The Holy Stain is my reverb pedal with it's hall and Room settings. I don't use the dirt side. I would definitely sell it if I went after the Cathedral. I probably need the delay pedals the least, but would love to play with one of the memory boy pedals at some point. I have several pedals that do chorus and vibrato, so I don't need them. I like the idea of the POG2 for 12 string and organ sounds with the saved presets. The closest thing to a 12 string sound I have is the Small clone. I have been learning "Stairway to Heaven" and was trying to simulate the 12 string electric sound. I love my MBM pedals and want to add an OCD or OCD/DLS pedal, but since I just got the Breaker/booster and fuzzface, I was thinking to maybe avoid a dirt pedal this go round.

I would personally get a pog 2, lots of fun options in there, Do you use reverb on your amp? I also run a memory toy with my dl4 as well for 2 different sounds. so those EHX delays can be very useful too. Do you find your self needing more delays? Then go with a delay. But if the DL4 is doing it all for you then the pog 2 would be great.

I am extremely happy with mine. Here is an updated photo of my board. The Voodoo Lab Pedal power 2 really cleaned up the mess. (got rid of 6 power adapters). My amp reverb is just barely noticeable but works. I am leaning POG2 right now, but the Cathedral is pretty cool. The only thing that might happen is I buy a neck for one of my guitar projects. I still need to velcro down my pedals, but I will sell what I have and then do that.

I would agree with those statements in general. Definitely you have lots of mediocre players who try to substitute effect pedals for working on their playing skills. I use pedals to help enrich or enhance my tone, not to make up for bad playing. I have recently been trying to challenge myself with more difficult songs and work on my technique. I am taking up Led Zeppelin and Cream to get me out of my rhythm rut I am in. One of the reasons I am selling these pedals is to get rid of dead weight, simply my tone and maybe try something new. I am borrowing a Tubescreamer from my friend actually. I think I like the OCD over the Tubescreamer.

I love my OD-20. It has 4 presets plus the manual settings. It has like 20+ Distortion/Fuzz/Metal pedals modeled in there. I used the OD-1 and OD-2 for light and medium overdrive and the blues pedal for blues. The only reason I am probably selling mine is I got my 2 MBM pedals which cover overdrive, boost and fuzz tones. I don't need five pedals for the same sounds. I will put them on classifieds first before I put them on eBay, so if you want it let me know. You can PM me if you like.

taylornutt- Yeah, i'm not personally knocking people im just sharing my experience here. I've been pissing around with FX for 20 years and whilst it was fun for the most part it was wasted time as well, as far as progressing as a player is concerned.
The Tubescreamer at bedroom level is quite bland but use one at rehearsal/gigging volume and it will compliment your existing set up, they just work.
Without hearing what you do it's impossible to vote. In many ways I agree with the above about ditching pedals.
But for you - why not ask yourself what are you are trying to achieve with the pedals? The answer to that may give you the answer to your question or it may tell you to get rid of all you have and start again. You have to try to be crtical and objective about this though. And that can be hard. In my experience too many people in bands only hear what they do and think something like "that song is great cos what I do sounds great" and don't get that what they do doesn't fit with anyone else - everyone wants what they do mixed a little louder and suggests turning someone else down (sometimes not in front of the rest of the band).
I've been having all kinds of fun with the Cathedral. If you aren't too much into reverb the POG seems like it would be really fun to play with.
I don't think that there is anything wrong with pedals; it all just depends on what you are trying to get out of music in general. There seems to be a big pedal backlash these days for some reason, the vast majority of sounds that interest me couldn't be created without effects.
