Absolutely. I know it's my environment that's the problem, but that's how I have to combat it. It's not much of a problem, anyway.
And about the tint? Yeah, tell me about it. I already know, but the beauty about the poly is that I doubt it's ever really going to come off anyway.
I wish that double bound one came in something other than sunburst. I love double bound teles but hate sunburst. If it came in black, or well any solid colour except red, i'd be very tempted to get one.
a great quality guitar, endless sounds, feels great. looks like 52 reissue, custom shop pickups. S1 switch is a great bonus, plus 4 way tele switch means solid rock tones with bridge and neck in series.

I dunno, I've played a bunch of Bajas, and while great guitars, they just don't match up to the CV50 for me. Actually, most guitars don't match up to it, when you're considering price, out-of-the-box versatility and as a platform for modding.
I'm sure if you took any CV50, added those Custom Shop pups (is it the Nocaster set) threw in that switching system (something I noted isn't for me) it would be equal to that of a Baja, if not better. Better in my opinion, solely based on the price point.

It's got better pickups, better electronics a great neck and better sounds in my opinion.
The CV Telecaster is great but the Baja plays like a guitar twice the price.
The neck on the CV is plain unbelievable! Probably one of my favorite things about the guitar. And electronics are something that can easily be replaced.

Once you've replaced them you've spent more than the Baja (which has custom shop pickups and a unique switching system).

Who says you can't buy used pickups? Or even Keystones, if those are whatever works for you.
Is the bridge one of those cut-off ones? That's probably one of my only gripes with the CVs.
I don't really care to argue with you because it's pointless. The bridge is a lipstick style classic bridge but has much better saddles than the CV version and more mass in the bridge itself.
Personally I think the pickups are incomparable between the two guitars, the CV ones do the job, whilst the Broadcaster and Twisted Tele combination of Custom Shop pickups in the Baja are ridiculously good sounding for the price.
+1 to Mike and Paul from me: I've played a couple of the CV 50's teles now, and much as I love teles, I'm afraid I can't see what all the fuss is about. Of the current production teles, I'd go for a Baja, but don't forget the plethora of MIJ/CIJ teles; I used to have a MIJ 52 and that was amazing, really lovely neck, and the same pickups as the 52ri. Another honourable mention should go to the MIM Muddy Waters sig - one of the few sig guitars I'd own; not that I'm a huge Muddy Waters fan (although he's OK by me, like...) but for it's combination of big neck, ash body, 52ri pickups and amp knobs. Lovely.
In typing this up, I've realised how hugely I'm going to miss my tele - have to pack it up this weekend...
I had a CIJ tele (and this time I mean it) that was the best tele I've ever heard. There was just something really great about it and I'll forever regret getting rid of it.
That said, mentioning CIJ teles is a somewhat strange subject. Most people find it difficult to locate them, but once they are, they're definitely worth the money too.
