I'm borrowing a Holy Grail Plus while awaiting a new tank for my Vibrosonic and noticed that it has a lot of hiss on any setting if the blend is past 1 o'clock. Even though it's not mine, as an EHX user and fan I find this to be a real bummer.
The 1 o'clock (not 12) position seems to be where the wet/dry is balanced at 50/50 (much like the XO Pulsar), and going past that point to lean on the effect a little more induces enough hiss to make the effect unusable.
In the interest of brevity I'll spare the details of the reduction, but I'm reasonably certain it's not a power quality issue. I've concluded either this particular unit is bunk or it's an issue with all of them.
If anyone here has a Holy Grail Plus, do you experience the same thing?

I don't have that issue with my holy grail plus...I have a different noise issue. Mine creates a high pitched hum just from being plugged into my daisy chain. It isn't apparent on the clean channel of my orange but really noticable on the dirty channel. As soon as I unplug it from the power supply the hum stops. I had the exact same issue with my regular Holy Grail. It drives me nuts.

Damn, that sounds awful too. During a quick bit of research last night, I did notice people on several boards mention that the Grails seem to really dislike being daisy-chained. Perhaps that may solve your issue, but I'm sure you've tried that already.
I tried this HG+ on my board with a Voodoo Labs PP2+ (which has isolated runs), with an EHX-supplied adaptor, and with a Boss adaptor. I also tried each of those in several outlets in my house and at work with the same result, which is why I concluded my issue isn't one of power.
I checked EHX's site and there seems to be no special power requirement -- just the usual 9.6V 200mA.

Just wanted to post a follow-up here for reference.
After spending a bit more time with the pedal, it seems to be an intermittent problem with no clear cause; simply, sometimes the noise is there, sometimes it isn't. There's an even stranger failure mode appearing where it powers up and the signal passes through when engaged, but when the blend knob is taken past the 50/50 point it becomes progressively more silent. There is no reverb effect present at all.
I went to a local shop and tried two different HG+ pedals and they seemed wonderful and noise-free. I've concluded that this particular pedal is problematic and hopefully the owner can send it to EHX for repair or replacement.
