I'm 32 and I also prefer Rollins era. I like the darker, artier black flag better. Slip it in, family man, my war, the process of weeding out, etc... great stuff.tomin8r wrote:I prefer honesty instead of having people cater to whatever I say. Of course things change, and no one will ALWAYS have the same opinion as you. The interwebz arnt srs biznis after all

I thought they were ok in the late 90's, but that album they put out around 2003 was piss poor and their whole image thing was getting really tired by then.. I didn't even know they were still going to be honest. I liked 'The Lawrence Arms' best out of all those Chicago bands.
.....nice looking guitar though.

....me too, I can't believe people would rather listen to Six Pack or Nervous Breakdown. I'm sure it was exciting at the time if you were in California and I appeciate it for what it is, but honestly I don't think anything pre-Damaged has stood the test of time very well. .... it just isn't that good imo.endsjustifymeans wrote:

I wouldn't go that far. I definitely think they grew into something bigger and better twords the end, all of SST did really. But I definitely appreciate the early stuff. Early SST and Dischord stuff was my introduction to punk. That's the music that changed my life.Mustang Melx wrote:....me too, I can't believe people would rather listen to Six Pack or Nervous Breakdown. Christ i hadn't realised I'd typed half of what I did in this thread. Must stop drinking Gin. Thanks for being a good sport tomin8r!
I'd like to prefer the Rollins Flag stuff but in all honesty I haven't heard a better song than Nervous Breakdown or Fix Me.

geez what a cocksuck band that is. i've read their name on the web a few times, and the guitar in the pic is nice enough to taunt me into clicking play to this song.
i had to watch it to the end, just to see what/if something would happen in the end. i was cringing. geez they SUCK ass. and the video too. c'mon we're playing in a field with kids in school uniforms running round. real original.
god it's pissed me off.
ok maybe it's the beer. but i want my 2:30 mins back.
or, get another beer. yes.
sorry the rant. but nice guitar, yes.
