Out of 40 some amps that were shipped there, only one worked long enough to be sold.

99% of them, huh? Sounds like a bit of an exaggeration, no?
The early releases suffered an extremely high failure rate, but 99% does smack of hyperbole.

I know a few people with Bugeras purchased within the last 12 months, and they're all plenty happy. Like I said, I loved my V5.... I just like my handsome devil more.

That was just what the shop owner told me about his experience, I didn't have any personal experience with them. There are plenty of well functioning Bugera amps. I would just say test it before you buy it if possible.

I played it daily and never had a single issue. That little sucker has sold me on their equipment, I've got an eye on their 1990 now.
+1 on my V5 as well. Got mine for $95 on the bay. It's doesnt' beat out my Marshall JTM30 but it's a 1/4 of the cost and it has headphone out on a tube amp. Nice to have a low wattage tube amp next to my 30 Watt Marshall. The adjustable power from 5W to 1W to .1w is the cat's meow. I love mine.

I never pay attention to warranties on guitar stuff - I rip apart ALL of it first day.

Guitars I usually spend 2-3 hours on them day 1 - widening nut slots, tweaking neck, getting all the solder joints nice and solid, tightening everything.
Amps too - I void warranties day 1. I can fix all amp stuff that isn't digital or SMD, so I don't worry too much.

Really, though. If a problem is major, I'd be upset too. But if it were a jack or scratchy pot or something like that and I like how the amp sounds--there's no way I'm sending it back to wherever just to get it fixed for free.

And from what I've seen, apart from the now less frequent build problems, people really like how these sound. That's what matters, not the price.

*shrug*

Mine has been fine since I got it. If it goes bad, I'll get a refund.
